Rent Ghetto Dawg (2002)

Urban crime thriller. Tariq (J. King) is a streetwise college graduate having trouble finding a legitimate job. Necessity forces him to start stealing cars for a local gangster, but when he falls in love with single mother Robin (Portia Cue), Tariq decides that he should give up his life of petty crime. But going straight is harder than he thought, and before long the local gangsters have dragged Tariq into the underground world of illegal dog fights. If Tariq is going to escape, he'll have to make the biggest gamble of his life.
