When a Nazi spy, played by the inimitable Bela Lugosi, pretends that his hideout is haunted in an effort to deter people from finding his secret hideaway then you can be sure that there will be plenty of spooky thrills, accompanied by loads of laughs, following the hilarious antics of Lugosi and his rather dubious companions! Ghost On The Loose, a classic 1943 movie that also features The East Side Kids and introduces Ava Gardner in one of her earliest cinema roles, is a guaranteed laugh-a-minute movie. The movie reunited Bela Lugosi and The East Side Kids who had previously appeared in the classic Spooks Run Wild in 1941. The East Side Kids get involved in the wacky screen action when they decide to clean up an old house for a friend who has just got married. Very soon the gang find themselves unwittingly involved with some Nazi spies, led by Emil, who are determined to be rid of their unwanted intruders, by fair means or foul.
