In a time-travelling action extravaganza, Sonny Chiba is Yoshaiaki Iba, commander of a squadron mysteriously transported 400 years back in time to feudal Japan, where Samurai warlords rule the land. Forming an alliance with a Samurai, Kagetora, who yearns to be the next Shogun, Iba and his men become embroiled in a brutal and bloody conflict. But their modern weaponry provide a distinct advantage over the thousands of Samurai warriors who ride out to battle on horseback.
