- Girls is an American drama series about a group of women living in New York City trying to not let their lives become too much of a mess. The series follows 20 something Hannah (Creator Lena Dunham) as she tries to figure out what she is doing with her life as her friends lives start moving ahead without her as she struggles to become the writer she has always wanted to be. However while her friends lives look together they are just as messy as hers.
