The late Canadian musician,one of the most celebrated pianists of the 20th century, performs a number of pieces composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Gould is credited by many with revolutionising the way listeners approach Bach's piano and keyboard compositions. In three separate programmes - 'The Question of Instruments' (1979), 'An Art of the Fugue' (1980) and 'Goldberg Variations' (1981) - he discusses his approach to the composer's work and plays a number of Bach pieces including the complete 'Goldberg Variations'.
