Playing at Wembley Stadium, in the final match of the last ever Five Nations Championship,Wales's rugby heroes faced the ultimate test against old adversaries England, who were hot favourites to win the game and clinch the Grand Slam. It transpired to be one of the most gripping and dramatic internationals of all time. England looked firmly in control and were it not for the heroic kicking of Neil Jenkin: who slotted an incredible 8 kicks out of 8, would have been home and hosed by half-time. Even so they looked destined for victory until that magical moment when Scott Gibbs flew over England's goalline with seconds to go to score one of the most famous tries in 5 Nations history. Jenks did the necessary, the massive Welsh crowd went mad and Wales had snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in an incredible game that will live forever in the annals of Welsh rugby.
