- A strange woman rolls into a strange town. Her name is Mercedes and she is a woman in search of the truth, a woman in search of justice. Taking on a fake identity, Mercedes manages to gain employment as a singer at a local casino, the same casino where her brother, a wealthy oil well owner, had mysteriously disappeared. Was he murdered, and if so by whom and for what reason? Was it a deadly game of power play? Could it have been the young business manager who's taken her brother's place or is there a bigger puzzle to unravel?
