Great Guitars of Jazz: Live in Manchester (1997)

This outstanding evening, featuring three pioneers of the American Jazz Guitar sound, was recorded live at the Manchester Craftsmen's Guild 1997 to showcase the lasting brilliance of Byrd, Ellis and Farlow. These three elder statesmen of the guitar have well over a century of combined experience and knowledge. Their styles cover a vast range of music from straight-ahead swing to bop and bossa nova. All three players have made immeasurable contributions to the vocabulary and elegance of the Jazz guitar, and this wonderful concert is a fitting testament to their continued achievements.
