In Turkey (2017) Simon travels around a country at the centre of world events, from Istanbul to the turquoise coast of the Aegean Sea, and along the war-torn border with Syria.In Burma (2018), also called Myanmar, Simon journeys up the vast Irrawaddy River to the old royal capital of Mandalay.
