Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar are one of the Folk scene's most recent success stories. From recording their first album (The Queen's Lover) when they were both at school to winning the BBC Young Folk Award to then going on to win the BBC Horizon Award (best newcomers) they gigged clubs and festivals and built up an enviable reputation. Apart from the calibre and quality of their music and singing much of their success lies in their top class stage presentation. This video shows why they go down so well in 'live' performances. The quality of their performance was such that everything played at the one concert was useable for the film. The Bonus Features includes an extended interview with Greg and Ciaran. This is Fellside's first video release and is directed by Edward Cooper who is best known for the stunning Bellowhead videos he directed. Alongside their second CD release (The Call) in the summer of 2014 this video should do much to enhance and consolidate their position as two outstanding young performers.
