Pearl Harbor has been attacked and America is stunned. With retaliation in mind they form a battalion of volunteers going under the name of the 2nd Marine Raiders. All are selected from different walks of life but each individual possesses one quality which the unit would need plenty of ruthless determination. Under the command of Colonel Thorwald the Marines go through an intensive training programme using unimaginable forms of combat but combat that will later prove entirely necessary on their first mission, which is to annihilate the Japanese garrison on Makin Island. Gung Ho! is an all action war movie with spectacular battle sequences showing the anger felt by the Americans following the atrocities at Pearl Harbor.....blood had to be spilled. - Actors:
