Life in the rough town of Dodge City in the Wild West is never easy. Marshal Matt Dillon (James Arness) needs with the help of his second Chester Goode (Dennis Weaver) try to maintain order. They are assisted by Doc Adams (Milburn Stone) and saloon proprietor Kitty (Amanda Blake). Together they take on the rugged and unsavory characters who are constantly traveling through the town. 'Gunsmoke' was a revolutionary series, it is still seen as the starting point of the 'adult' western. Until today, the 20 seasons the longest-running series (constant cast) in TV history. The AFL ever made ??in this box were originally seventh season aired on American television (1961-1962). This was the first season in which the episodes lasted 50 minutes. The first six seasons consisted of episodes of 30 minutes, they were later released under the title "Marshal Dillon" again. - Actors:
