"Gus: An American Icon" is an honest look at the life and times of jazz dance master teacher, choreographer and founding father of jazz dance Gus Giordano. The documentary showcases rarely seen before images from his life, several vignettes of his choreography including the full performance of "Wings", widely considered his most powerful and influential work, and special commentary from his closest friends, family, artists and collaborators whose lives and careers he helped shape. 'Gus: An American Icon' features interviews with the who's who of American dance and theater, including: Tony Mockus, Collen Zenk Pinter, Margo Sappinton, Randy Duncan, Homer Bryant and more, each providing their own unique window in to the life of the man who became known as the father of American Jazz dance.
