Meet wild child Mellie Stanley; her love of stripping and her violent temper means she has earned herself quite a reputation. Alongside her meddling sister Nettie, cousin Kayla and loveable Laura the girls are about to offer us an insider's look at life as a gypsy in the wilds of West Virginia. Tending to the family, cooking, cleaning and being a proper gypsy wife is the utmost priority for these gypsy women, but they are a long way away from travelling in caravans and telling fortunes from a crystal ball as they strut their stuff on the streets of Martinsburg, West Virginia: a hotbed of gypsy culture and intrigue. With their husbands constantly on the road for work, the women are expected to stay home, cook, clean and raise the children. When they're not busy doing household chores and adding bling to outfits, they keep themselves entertained by trading in their favourite commodity: gossip!
