- Synopsis:
- Feature shows the spiritual journey of Celine (Julie Sokolowski), a novice nun who has taken the name of Hadewijch, a 13th century Flemish mystic. She is expelled from her convent because of her over-zealous faith, and sent back into the world. Here she meets Yassine, who introduces her to the immigrant housing projects outside Paris. Celine's passionate love of God, her rage, her unease with her parents, and her encounter with Yassine's brother Nassir, a devout Muslim, leads her along a dangerous and extreme path to a possible salvation.
