- The action takes place in Copenhagen in 1938. Jonas Tofte's serve, but he is more than that. He is also an author and has written a comedy that now appears immediately before its premiere. Is the piece well received, Jonas and his sweet wife with one out of their dire straits - so will all bills be paid, and the dreams will get wings. But the newspaper's reviewer is moody because of jealousy. The worse it gets, because comedy leading lady gets nervous breakdown when her boyfriend suddenly leaves her. The problems are piling up before the big night ...
