Happy Holidays is a film archive collection featuring historic footage gathered by the Isle of Man's successive tourist boards. Introduced by Manx journalist and broadcaster Terry Cringle, the films offer a snapshot of life from the 1920s – 70s, providing a fascinating insight into how the Island, as well as how we holiday, has changed over time. The collection includes footage of the Villa Marina's bathing beauty contests, dances at the Palace Ballroom and holidaymakers throughout the ages enjoying sunshine, ice creams and donkey rides on the island’s golden beaches.
