- Happy Valley is a British drama television series on BBC One. The series follows Catherine Cawood, who is a strong and independent police sergeant who works in the Yorkshire valleys. Despite her tough outer-shell, she is still torn apart by the death of her daughter by suicide. One day she comes across the man she holds responsible for the cause of her daughter’s death, and she becomes obsessed with making him pay.
