- Synopsis:
- Set in Istanbul in the early 1900's, 'Harem', the second installment in Ferzan Ozpetek's sensual trilogy, recounts the story of a member of the sultan's concubine, Safiye (Marie Gillain), who eventually marries the sultan. At the fall of the Ottoman Empire, the sultan flees to Europe, leaving Safiye and his other women to fight for their own survival.
