In the midst of the Second World War, nightclub singers Rosemary and Susie Allison - one sedate and ladylike, the other brash and wild - decide to enlist in the WAVES, a women's branch of the US Navy. While Susie, the crazier of the bunch, is reluctant to sign up, she soon grows thrilled at the prospect when heartthrob crooner Johnny Cabot (Crosby) joins the force. Susie soon finds a way to set up a double date with Johnny and his dopey Navy pal, Windy - but when everyone comes together, the world-famous singer only has eyes for Rosemary. As Susie tries to scheme her way into Johnny's arms and the ever-serious Rosemary fends off his attempts at romance, Johnny has trouble telling who's who - resulting in a top-notch comedy of errors. Featuring a famous rendition of 'Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive' and Crosby's knockout performance of 'That Old Black Magic', Here Come the Waves is a timeless, fun-filled musical that will leave you humming show tunes long after you've turned off the tube.
