Nickolai Salcedo stars as Ulric Cross in this Trinidadian docudrama featuring archive footage, written and directed by Frances-Anne Solomon. At the outset of WWII, Ulric Cross emigrates from his Caribbean home aged 24 and befriends fellow Trinidadian Kofi Mensah (Eric Kofi-Abrefa) as both become fighter pilots in the RAF. Having served with distinction, Cross studies law, taking a particularly keen interest in African nations attempting to gain independence, and spends many years travelling the continent meeting with influential thinkers and revolutionaries. The cast also features Pippa Nixon, Joseph Marcell and Peter Williams.
