Inspired by a true story. In a Nazi prisoner of war camp, a group of WWII prisoners join together to plan a symbolic Olympic tournament behind the guards back to regain their human dignity that the Nazis have tried to trample out of them on a daily basis. Discovered by their tormentors, the prisoners are now forced to consider the impossible challenge posed by the German Commander which is to take on the local German garrison in a filmed staged Olympic event. The Camp Commander being once a semi professional boxer himself really wants to compete in the games to further humiliate the prisoners and prove their German superiority. Surprisingly, the half starved prisoners accept. Not because they believe they can defeat them but because with the help of the local Resistance, they plan to distract the Germans during the event to stage a daring escape and help another group of prisoners who will certainly die if their plan does not succeed. But there is a growing optimism amongst the prisoners...'Can they actually win and defeat their captors?'. Win or escape...lives depend on it.
