Synopsis:
Before there was television, Americans depended on radio broadcasts for breaking news and casual amusement. When the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) was formed in 1926, it ruled over 24 individual stations. While the next 10 years would produce over 1,465 stations, NBC remained at the top of its game throughout the 1940's and 1950's, becoming an authority when it came to news information, and entertaining programming. Around The World In New York is a collection of various vintage films that capture several periods of New York City history.
