With the use of newly discovered archive footage and interviews with surviving family members and Nazi insiders, these fascinating programmes attempt to draw historical psychograms of Hitler's closest colleagues and offer in-depth personal and political profiles of the men who became architects of the destruction of Europe. More than half a century after Hitler's demise ZDF have successfully recovered what was until now "lost" footage of Hitler's aides. The producers have discovered revealing documents, and, for the first time, have persuaded key eyewitnesses to tell their stories. They were men who used and abused power and who would stop at nothing in order to serve their Fuhrer.
