Hot Metal is a British comedy series about the people running and working for a newspaper and the many problems and jobs they must do there. The series follows the staff working on The Daily Crucible, a London newspaper that gets a new makeover by its new Editor Russell Spam (Robert Hardy) as it turns from a previously dull paper to a gossip rag. Managing editor Harry (Geoffrey Palmer) tries to keep things on track but Russell and his staff continue to push their gossip to new levels of stupidity as they try to get people to continue reading the once reliable and believable paper.
