- Romance author Edith Hope, is shipped away after she shocks friends by leaving a perfectly eligible but boring bridegroom waiting at the church. During her dreamlike sojourn amidst the beautiful Swiss scenery, Edith encounters an eccentric cast of characters, also escaping their own lives, but when she receives a surprising proposal, her new insights and conclusions are tested.
