Sick, trashy and throughly enjoyable! - House of 1000 Corpses review by CP Customer

House Of 1000 Corpses is an instant horror classic, a true horror film made for horror fans and horror fans alone. The plot is pretty basic, the dialogue is great, but it's the truly funny and memorable characters which really make this film something special. 'Captain Spaulding', 'Grandpa Firefly' and 'Dr. Satan' and his crew rank among the greatest of horror creations. A fantastic film which draws heavily from old school 70's horror and brings back memories of when horror films were horrific and not cheesy 90 minute long 'whodunitts?'

hmmm - House of 1000 Corpses review by CP Customer

Expected something quite different and radical seeing as Rob Zombie has quite a reputation as a director but well...

First off the story line is nothing new. Group of good looking guys and gals, gagging for a good time, take a wrong turn in their car and end up meeting a group of psychos out in the middle of nowhere.

Don't get me wrong, it's an enjoyable movie, full of dark humour but we have seen it all before and done slightly better.

I've heard the sequel Devils Rejects is better so I'll see what that's like and his remake of Halloween is worth a look so I've been told. Maybe there's hope yet and better to come.
