Don Danbury is 29, single and even has his own house, left to him by his recently deceased grandmother. That's the good stuff. On the other hand, the house comes with Eddie, his Nan's over-enthusiastic carer who doesn't want to leave, some huge back payments on the house and now a lodger, Abby, his seriously fit, schooldays crush who regrettably has a complete snob of a boyfriend. With bad luck and even worse instincts, Don rushes headlong into every situation: trying to get laid, get a job, not get sacked, get his job back - and desperately, desperately trying to win over Abby. Every tricky situation is given a unique twist where we get to see lists of all the choices Don is considering, most of which are highly inappropriate: things not to say after a one-night stand, ways to deal with annoying teenagers, things not to say at a job interview - whichever option Don chooses, it still manages to be the wrong one.
