This is the inside story of the very last mission ever to take place to the Hubble Space Telescope. It was called the riskiest space mission ever flown. The crew of the Space Shuttle Atlantis will go further and higher than any mission since the moon landings and they will perform some of the most dangerous repair work ever attempted in space. If they don't succeed in doing the necessary upgrades, Hubble will become just a monument in the space programme. For the first time ever, high definition cameras take us into the heart of the mission as we follow Atlantis about to make history. During the space flight we see the crew chatting naturally in the space craft doing mundane activities, playing games and also performing safety checks. It's thrilling to realise that we are able to see the team flying through space for their rendezvous with Hubble. Once they dock with Hubble, we follow the team performing highly technical, tricky and delicate manoeuvres on their demanding space walks to enable Hubble to be put back into service and back into its own orbit. Finally we witness the exciting and nerve wracking Shuttle re-entry as it touches down at Edwards Air Force Base.
