At the height of the Great Depression, Iowa farmer Milford Beeghly began breaking new ground with radical ideas to enhance his corn crop and stave off financial ruin. But the more passionately he poured his energies into his agrarian experiments, the more Beeghly neglected his wife and children. Interweaving interviews, 16mm footage and stop-motion animation, this unique documentary paints an absorbing portrait of an obsessive agricultural mind.
