- 'I Am a Dancer' is an intimate portrait of the legendary dancer Rudolf Nureyev. It is not simply Nureyev's life story, but more a study of his personality, and of course his dancing. 'I Am a Dancer' delves deep into the world of the professional ballet dancer, showing the work done behind the scenes as well as breathtaking footage of Nureyev's partnership with Margot Fonteyn, as well as Lynn Seymour and Carla Fracci. 'I Am a Dancer' contains rare filmed performances from La Sylphide, Field Figures, Sleeping Beauty as well as Nureyev and Fonteyn dancing Marguerite and Armand.
