- Synopsis:
- Very much an Ealing film, but a drama rather than a comedy although there is toned down Ealing comedy throughout. Celia Johnson is given star billing but the film is 100% Cecil Parker's as a probation officer in post war London. The cast feature's lots of Ealing regulars, but the subject matter and handling is quite dull. A young Joan is also prominently featured.
