This is another one of those Britflick comedies that is not very funny but which passes the time. Most jokes fall flat - or they did for me anyway - though the acting is good from all present. Some lines should have been cut, as should some very theatrical (almost pantomime) moments, and some attempts at crude humour really do not work. It thinks it is way funnier than it is though!!! And it tries SO hard for laughs. BUT It's worth watching to pass 90 minutes - but don't expect to laugh much. Yet again, a British film is ruined by its being way too theatrical. This film is so forgettable that I can't remember how it ends - and I watched it last night!
This is a fun film based on the tale of 2 film students who accidently get involved in the porn movie business whilst trying to flog their screenplay. There are some hilarious moments (and it isn't too ridiculous or farcical); a highlight is when student, Joe, manages to get stuck in his Mum and Dad's en-suite bathroom when they return from work early and proceed to indulge their sexual fantasies. Carmen Electra plays the porn star Candy Fiveways and there is a sweet, although unlikely, friendship that develops between her and shy student Baggy. Mackenzie Crook is really good in the role of a sad college lecturer who cracks unfunny jokes in an attempt to win over his students. A film which is lots of fun - probably a good one to watch with your mates.
