- Legendary Hollywood composer and lyricist Adolph Green plays Joey Wellman - a cantankerous American cartoonist who uses an invitation to exhibit his work in Paris as an excuse to visit his daughter, who's become obsessed with a French Professor (Gerard Depardieu). Alain Renais has created an amusing satire on American and French cultures, which also includes a sparkling score from Oscar winning composer John Kander.
