Distant future?? It’s happening already!
- Idiocracy review by PR
Oh my god, this film is so accurate it hurts! Grossly caricaturized and exaggerated, but the message is all too real, serious and valid. Half way through I stopped laughing and started feeling horror. Brave man indeed, this director.

Its a funny take on the future
- Idiocracy review by NL
I'm not usually a Luke Wilson fan but he was quite good in this. Quite a funny take on a possible future, maybe more likely than any other prediction. I might even watch it again. I will tall my friends to watch it.

Badly dated and not funny.

This really hasn't aged well. While having a potentially fertile satirical point to make, it consistently fails to make it and instead goes for lowest common denominator gags that are so broad as to be pointless. It's a waste of the talent of almost everyone involved and its portrayal of women and people of colour is insulting to today's sensibilities.

Just Awful - Unfunny, Obvious, a Tired TV-show Format. Boring.
- Idiocracy review by PV
This film is awful - I lasted 25 minutes then could not stand it any more.
It is simply NOT FUNNY at all. Not at all. Silly sketches from unfunny US TV comedy shows rehashed.
If you like that, you'll like this but I HATED it.
No stars. Avoid if you have a brain and appreciate decent comedy. This is not that.

A great story let down by poor production.
- Idiocracy review by CP Customer
I'm a massive fan of Mike Judge's 'Office Space' and waited with excitement to see what he would come up with next, though unfortunately 'Idiocracy' is a huge disappointment. As you would expect from Judge the storyline is smartly written and cleverly looks at how the world has ended up 500 years from now, when over time everything has been dumbed down so much humanity has become a race of morons. There is some brilliant satire, clever dialogue and sight gags though the film is completely let down by a tiny $2 million budget, and shot on such a low-budget that it hampers the delivery of the story. The result is a cleverly written film which looks like a cheap B-movie with crummy sets, painted backdrops and a poor supporting cast. If you're a fan of Mike Judge then this is definitely something you'll want to see, though unless your a fan I would give it a miss.

Not great at all
- Idiocracy review by AB
Unfunny, but, horrifically, this could be the future given the level of brain power being shown by mankind at the moment
Very poor storyline, overly-brash and loud and depressingly prescient
