- Synopsis:
- Jamil Dehlavi writes and directs this drama set in Pakistan. A British man (James Wilby) and his American wife (Melissa Leo), living in Karachi, are trying for a baby but without much success. In order to cure their infertility they visit an Islamic shrine where they hope to undergo a range of spiritual procedures that will allow them to conceive. However, as they engage with different spiritual practices at the shrine their relationship is tested by their differences of opinion and their lust for other people.
