Five archive documentary films looking at Scottish farming. 'In Good Heart' (1960) looks at the farming year in the Highlands,the Borders,Ayrshire and Angus. 'They Made the Land' (1938) depicts the difficulties of farm work. 'Grain Harvest' (1936) looks at the use of horses and threshing machines. 'The Farmer's Boy' (1938) depicts the prospects for a young boy starting work in the industry. Finally,'On the Farm' (1934) shows the variety of jobs done on the 1930s farm.
