In Prison My Whole Life follows 25 year old William Francome as he investigates the arrest of Mumia Abu-Jamal, famed death-row inmate and award-winning journalist. Francome, born on the day of Mumia's 1981 arrest, engages intellectuals, writers, and artists in the effort to expose a certain idea of justice in America for black activists in general and Mumia in particular.
