The third series of the Til Death Us Do Part sequel found Alf Garnett in splendid form; giving out to anyone who'll listen (and some who won't) on the injustices suffered by this particular senior citizen. This series finds Warren Mitchell once again surrounded by great character actors including Carmel McSharry, Arthur English and Ken Campbell as well as Patricia Hayes and Irene Handl - and also features a special appearance by Spike Milligan as the volatile van driver, Fancy Fred. As well as having to put up with the devout but defiant Mrs Hollingsbury upstairs and smug neighbour, Mr Johnson across the road, Alf now has company in his spare room lodger, Winston. No wonder he spends most of his time in the pub with Arthur! Among the many classic Alf Garnett scenes in this series are the magnificent telephone battle with Mrs Hollingsbury, a hilarious seance with Gwenneth and Min, fisticuffs with Fancy Fred, Alf doing what he does best on a visit to the DHSS and a long afternoon stuck out on the upstairs window ledge.
