- Based on a series of novels by Elizabeth George, The Inspector Lynley Mysteries is a British crime Drama about Detective Inspector Thomas Lynley (Nathaniel Parker) and his partner Detective Barbara Havers (Sharon Small) and the crimes they investigate. The series looks at the class divide as Lynley is a peer of the realm and Havers was brought up in a working class family. The show looks at their partnership as well as crime in England. Each episode is a feature length mystery that looks at a certain aspect of British society which is always seen differently by each detective
