Meet Tony Stark, a popular and influential billionaire playboy who, gifted with phenomenal scientific genius, built Stark enterprises into a cutting-edge, multinational industrial giant. After being gravely injured in an accidental explosion, during a scientific experiment gone awry, Stark is captured by the powerful villain, the Mandarin, a demented genius who plans to use Stark and his skills in a devious scheme to take over the world. Stark attempts to escape, but is attacked by the Mandarin and his forces. Barely clinging to life, he designs a heavily equipped suit of high-tech armor with Jet-powered boots and blaster gloves. Wearing this suit, Stark becomes Iron Man, an armored avenger ready to crush any evil force that dares to get in his way. Iron Man faces the challenge of defeating the nearly overwhelming evil of the Mandarin and his corrupt gallery of rogues.
