No disability will stop his war on crime. Confined to a wheelchair, Ironside leads his own special police unit from his uniquely equipped office at SFPD headquarters, fighting crime others can't, aided by a crack team of investigators including Sgt. Ed Brown, ex-con-turned-assistant Mark Sanger and beautiful policewoman Eve Whitfield. Raymond Burr, fresh from 9 years as TV's most famous lawyer, Perry Mason, shook the typecasting from his previous role and made Ironside an instant hit with audiences, running an incredible 8 years.
With superb storylines dealing with socially important topics such as racism, drugs, abortion and terrorism, Ironside's second season continues the tradition of stories laced with intelligent detection, action and justice.
