Billy Bowles (Tommy Steele) is a young man unlucky at work and in love. At the KLO recording company, his unscrupulous boss see's to it that his talents go unnoticed and his secretary suspects that his Sunday disappearances mean that he has a wife and children hidden away. When she discovers a package of toys she's even more convinced, but Billy has just been visiting the orphanage where he grew up - for the children his all-singing all-dancing visits are the highlight of their week as Billy sings all their favourite songs! When Billy discovers the orphanage is in danger - unless it can raise some money it will have to be closed - he has to find a way to help. With the help of his friends in the pop world he finds a solution - a star-studded celebrity concert! Will Billy be able to save the orphans, and win the heart of the girl of his dreams...all before the first curtain rises? - Actors:
