- Synopsis:
- Rita (Nanda), a sophisticated, beautiful, modern girl returns to India after studying abroad. She travels to Kashmir, the paradise on earth, on a short holiday. Raja (Shashi Kapoor), a simpleton, but handsome to boot, falls in love with her. But she is just another tourist. She leaves, to return with her fiance, an arrogant snob. When she meets Raja again, Rita defies her parents and decides to marry Raja, the simple boatman. Will Rita succeed? Can the head rule over the heart in matters of love?
