The ladies of the Clateford Women's Guild return for a second series. Set in a small West Country town, Jennifer Saunders enchanting comedy follows the continuing exploits of ex-practice nurse Sal Vine and the memorable - and not a little eccentric -members of the local Guild. Among the dramas putting Sal's common sense (and patience) to the test are the guild's fog-bound annual ramble — including a surprising meeting with the vicar and his new 'lady-friend'; a grudge with the vicar and h bowls match with neighbouring village, Hole; the reappearance Rosie's barking mad alter-ego Margaret; and the replacement of the annual re-enactment of the 1646 Clatter ford Skirmish with a health and safety inspired competition involving a giant Sudoku and a speed knitting contest. At the same time, while Tash is busy trying to get into Glastonbury without a ticket or joining the Druids as they exercise their right to walk on the Army firing range, Sal gently tries to re-direct her daughter's love life. Will this free spirit really be happy moving into a starter home with Marcus 'The Hunt' or is there someone more suitable available?
