As a boy, world renowned director James Cameron, dreamt of exploring the ocean. Years later, Cameron became an explorer and lived out his childhood dreams. The science mission was complex. Cameron would pilot his one-man submersible to the deepest point of the ocean - the Mariana Trench, almost 36,000 feet below the surface. To travel down to the deepest crack in the earth's crust meant creating new technology able to withstand the life-threatening pressure in the depths. This is the 'Deepsea Challenger', which Cameron co-designed, a feat of engineering that goes deeper than any machine before it and is still the deepest diving marine vehicle in the world. Join Cameron and his team of scientists and see what they uncovered in a series of dives in the deep ocean and at the very bottom of the planet.
