Synopsis:
Collection of Discovery Channel documentaries in which former athlete James Cracknell sets out to follow in the footsteps of some of the most famous adventurers in history. In 'Lost City of Z' Cracknell heads to the Amazon to investigate the disappearance of Colonel Percy Harrison Fawcett. 'Livingstone in Africa' sees him travel to South Africa to relive the exploits of Dr. David Livingstone. 'Gold Rush' follows Cracknell to America as he seeks first-hand experience of the hardships suffered by some of the first prospectors for gold. Finally,'Stranded at Sea' sees James examining the fate of the sailors who survived the 1907 Dundonald shipwreck and spent seven months on a deserted island awaiting rescue.
