A dramatisation of the life of the legendary movie actor James Dean (Casper Van Dien). An all-star cast features Carrie Mitchum as Dean's love interest, Pier Angeli and BAFTA award winner Dianna Ladd as Pier's mother. Robert Mitchum stars as George Stevens, director of Dean's last film, 'Giant'. Pier's mother sees James Dean as an American with no manners or class, and interested only in fast cars. She, therefore convinces her daughter that she is honour-bound to marry an Italian Catholic and whilst Dean is away on a shoot Pier agrees to marry the Italian singer Vic Damone. Dean's passion for racing cars intensifies so much that when the shooting of 'Giant' begins, the head of Warner Brothers forbids him from racing until the film has been shot. Dean acquires the fastest production car in the world, the Porsche Spyder and heads for the race in Monterey, anxious to hone his racing skills behind the wheel of the "Little Bastard". The star of 'East of Eden', 'Rebel Without a Cayse' and 'Giant' starts his fatal journey to immortality - Actors:
