- Jane the Virgin is an American comedy TV series starring Gina Rodriguez as Jane Villanueva, Yael Grobglas playing Petra Solano, Andrea Navedo as Xiomara Villanueva, and Ivonne Coll playing Alba Villanueva among other actors. The show follows Jane (Gina Rodriguez) – a devout Catholic virgin girl who gets accidentally artificially inseminated and has to cope with her new ‘condition’ and the consequences that follow.
