- Set in 1969 rural Australia, 'Jasper Jones' is the coming of age story of Charlie Bucktin (Levi Miller) a 14-year-old bookish boy. On the Night Jasper Jones, the town's mixed race outcast, shows Charlie the dead body of young Laura Wishart, his life is changed forever. Believing Jasper to be innocent, Charlie embarks on a dangerous journey to find the true killer and to understand the real meaning of the word "courage".
